Race for tickets & a heart patient

April 16, 2008
Finally, the former chief minister, who has the responsibility of finalising the list of candidates, decided to meet the aspirants one by one.

The political drama intensified as each candidate combed their hair, adjusted their shirts and walked in to meet Kumaraswamy, as if they were about to receive a 'Nobel Prize' in ticket seeking.

As the aspirants walked in, their supporters showered them with flowers and chanted slogans in their support.

Kumaraswamy gave the candidates a patient hearing and assured them that he will do his best for them. Some pushy aspirants were reminded that Kumaraswamy was recovering from a heart surgery and should not be pressurized too much. Sadly, none of them seemed to care about the health of their leader and continued to press him about their tickets.
