The PPP chief, who was twice the prime minister of Pakistan, said the country was standing at the crossroads of dictatorship and democracy. "I believe in miracles and my
returning home is a miracle," she said.
"I am embarking on a journey of change as my life is pledged to Pakistan and its people," Bhutto said in a brief statement read out at the Dubai airport before she boarded an Emirates airline flight to Karachi.
For the past eight years, Bhutto, a mother of three, has been shuttling between London and Dubai. She had left Pakistan in 1998 fearing arrest in the graft cases registered against her.
