Tibetan activists protest at Chinese Embassy
October 10, 2007
over 40 Tibetan youths, Buddhist monks and nuns organised a protest at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday. The protestors managed to enter the Embassy premises and shouted slogans against the Chinese government.
They were protesting against a recent Chinese order that Beijing must approve of all Tibetan spiritual leaders, known as Lamas. The move is being seen as an attempt to limit the influence of the exiled Dalai Lama in Tibet.
