Black Friday in Hyderabad

May 18, 2007
Thousands had gathered in the mosque for Friday prayers. The Mecca Masjid, one of the oldest mosques in Hyderabad, is one of the City of Pearl's major landmarks.

The bomb exploded around 1.30 pm and created such a panic that those gathered for the prayers started running towards the exit gate of the mosque, said to be over 400 years old and considered sacred by Muslims in and outside the state.
