I always knew about Mangal Pandey and Rani Laxmibai but when I came here I was astounded to know the details of their heroic fights against the British.

Today we are an independent country because of such brave people. We should always be thankful and grateful to them.

These people fought together and stood as one.

1857 is a lesson to all Indians that we should always unite and fight against enemies rather than fight with each other.

It is a historic moment and we Indians should vow that we will keep the memory of all these people alive in our hearts.
