The first ever monsoon Rickshaw Run was flagged off from La Martiniere Boys School, Kolkata, on Saturday post a torrid rainstorm.
The exciting two-week race, organised by The Adventurists, who organise a variety of rallies, will run across 4,500 long km from Kolkata to Manali in Himachal Pradesh. This time the rickshaw enthusiasts will brave thunderstorms, mud, bog, keechar (muck) and the fury of non-stop Indian monsoon downpours to reach their destination.
It is bound to be a much tougher rally.
