In Gujarat, go fly a kite

January 12, 2007
The skies over the cities of Gujarat will soon be dotted with colourful kites of all shapes and sizes with the advent of Makar Sankranti and on the state government's annual 'Vibrant Gujarat Summit'.

Gujarat chief Minister Narendra Modi feels Makar Sankranti is the best way to bring together people from all over the nation and the globe too! He considers kite flying a a symbol of the state's progress.

What better way to promote the state, than organising the International Kite Festival 2007 at the Sabramati riverfront in Ahmedabad.
