Profile: Benazir Bhutto

Benazir Bhutto was the daughter of politician Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who was the leader of Pakistan from 1971 till 1977. She became the first female leader of a Muslim nation and served two terms as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

She returned to Pakistan from her self-imposed exile in October 2007 after President Pervez Musharraf signed an amnesty lifting corruption charges against her. However, she couldn't survive the second bid on her life on December 27, 2007. A look at the timeline of events in Bhutto's life.
