Daughter of Pakistan
December 28, 2007
She hailed from a prominent and front-ranking family of politicians who migrated from Haryana to Larkana, Sindh, at Partition and Benazir grew up in the hurly-burly of feudal Pakistani politics.
Her grandfather, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto, who married a Hindu, served the Nawab of Junagadh in Gujarat before Independence and was responsible for inviting India to annex the state, after the nawab fled to Pakistan.
