Fresh from his spectacular victory, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday made an apparent dig at Congress President Sonia Gandhi on the ‘merchants of death’ remarks, which had created a major controversy in the assembly polls.
Without either naming Sonia or referring directly to the remarks, Modi deftly referred to the use of ‘new words’ in the campaigning and the reference was obvious.
The BJP's victory was secured in the face of negative tactics and 'new words,' he said in his brief interaction with the media soon after the results were out.
People of Gujarat have rejected the 'negative' forces and voted in favour of positive politics, he said.
