BJP supporters celebrate Gujarat victory

December 23, 2007
It had been speculated that the Congress might win the elections because several BJP leaders had rebelled against Modi and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad didn't extend its support to the chief minister.

In fact, even the satta bazaar bets had favoured the Congress but Modi managed to prove everyone wrong. The BJP is not only all set to win in Gujarat, it will do so with a comfortable majority.

While some workers burst firecrackers to celebrate BJP's victory, others blocked roads and halted traffic movement. However, the police intervened to prevent further chaos and normalcy was restored soon.
