Christmas around the world
December 21, 2007
There are very few corners of the world where Christmas is not celebrated. The extremely remote Arctic, where Santa Claus is said to 'live', too hosts a round of celebrations.
Here in Greenland an autonomous territory of Denmark, Santa disembarks from a helicopter in Nuuk, the capital to meet children.
Till recently the Greenland Santa did not have funds to answer his mail after the government cut his fundings. But private company sponsors stepped in and it is all merry on high.
