Remembering the martyrs of Parliament attack

December 13, 2007

On December 13, 2001, five gunmen stormed the heavily guarded Parliament complex in New Delhi and killed nine people, before being shot dead by the security personnel.

On Thursday, the nation paid tribute to the martyrs of that terrorist attack. The Parliament complex was turned into a virtual fortress as politicians gathered to observe the sixth anniversary of a bloody terrorist attack.

Several functions were organised to mark the day, and pay tribute to those killed in the attack.
