Sonia Gandhi's rally at Jasdan, Gujarat
December 01, 2007
"I have come here to ask for your verdict. Not for the right to rule, but for the opportunity to serve this great region.
Your vote has the power to bring about change. It is not just your right but your duty too that you bring this unjust reign to an end," Sonia said, addressing the crowd in Hindi.
In a very vague speech bereft of any concrete accusation or promise, the only relevant issue that Sonia brought up before the 30,000-odd rural crowd was that of electricity.
