Sonia Gandhi's rally at Jasdan, Gujarat

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday kickstarted her party's assembly election campaign in the Saurashtra region with a rally at Rajkot's Jasdan.
Jasdan is the only constituency which the Congress had retained in the past three terms in Rajkot, a Bharatiya Janata Party bastion.
In a 15-minute speech in which she did not mention Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi even once, Sonia promised better governance, and said her party would work for the development of the farmers.
