As part of the centennial celebrations of Gandhi's Satyagraha -- which he first enunciated in South Africa -- Sonia will deliver a speech at the University of Cape Town.
Long before he became the Mahatma, Mohandas K Gandhi lived for many years in South Africa, a nation where he conceived his philosophy of non-violent political resistance. One of his grand-daughters Ela Ramgobin still lives in Durban.
