Ganesha is the hero of Gita Mehta's new book

Gita Mehta arrives at the Rubin Museum with her husband Sonny Mehta, publisher and editor-in-chief, Alfred A Knopf.

Among the writers Sonny Mehta has championed over the years, we will mention only two: Salman Rushdie and Bill Clinton.

The New York Metro newspaper rated him one of New York's sexiest men a few years ago because he symbolises 'everything that was once adventurous about publishing'.
