Pune's traditional Ganpatis

The Kasaba Peth Ganpati. This is one of the country's oldest sarvajanik Ganesh mandals and is 113 years old. Thousands of devotees visit this Ganpati every year from all over Maharashtra. The Ganesh is taken for immersion in a silver palkhi (below). On immersion day, this is the first idol to be immersed.
