We reached Chandigarh past midnight on Day 3.
At the start of the journey, Force Motors, one of our sponsors, was supposed to provide a back-up bike. But that did not reach on time. Hence by Day 4 the team was having problems with the make-do rental we were using. Finally in Chandigarh a Tata 207 was arranged. The team had some time to go around Chandigarh's famous Rock Garden, where we were surrounded by school kids.
On Day 5 the team was on the road to Amritsar. We unanimously felt that it was a nightmare to ride in the night on the roads of Punjab and hence we avoided it. As we reached Amritsar, the excitement of visiting Wagah at the border and the Golden Temple was slowly building up.
