Mahajan's last journey
Few at the cremation could believe that the energetic Mahajan was no more. The disbelief in the silence surrounding the final ceremony was evident.
Outside, the streets were blocked. Traffic on Veer Savarkar Road, connecting Mumbai city to its suburbs, had been diverted a long time ago. The police had cordoned off the area. It was hot, stifling, crowded. But still the people came, trudging out to pay their last respects to their leader.
