The prince and the people

The Prince and the Duchess of Cornwell are scheduled to visit Punjab and Rajasthan, where he is expected to announce his support for a slew of initiatives in sustainable farming, water conservation and employment generation.

The first stop, however, was Bhattmijra village. The villagers were disappointed though. They couldn't meet Camilla, who did not accompany the Prince.

Accompanied by state Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, Prince Charles visited the organic farming adopted by farmers. His own food company, Duchy Originals, has been growing and selling organic produce for nearly a decade, with proceeds going to charity.
