The prince and the people

Britain's Crown Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker arrived in Punjab today to visit Bhattmijra village in the Fatehgarh Saheb district.

They are here on a week-long visit.

The prince, who was on a three-nation tour that included Egypt and Saudi Arabia, attended a gala reception on Sunday night, organised by the British high commission, where he met the visiting English cricket team and the capital's glitterati.
