Congress, Congress everywhere

It was an indication of how the situation on the ground would be. Looking out of the aircraft while landing in Hyderabad, one could see gigantic hoardings of the Congress Party, which was holding its 82nd plenary on January 21 to 23.

And they had covered the entire route from the airport to the Gadchibowli stadium, which passed through much of the city, with buntings, hoardings, banners and flags.

There was one interesting point to note, though. The Congress flag, which used to sport the symbol of the palm, now also has the face of one particularly popular lady of Italian origin. The 'madam', (Congress president Sonia Gandhi, if you had not guessed) who will soon be turning 60 but doesn't look a day above 50.

I wonder if she works out?
