Lensman par excellence

The year 2005 was an extraordinary one for photographer Sharad Haksar, who won several prestigious international awards and citations. It is a list as impressive as it is long:

Cannes: Silver Lion and finalist.

New York Festivals: 1 Gold (Best Photography), 1 Bronze and 1 nomination.

Popular Photography: Top 10 Photographers of the Year.

Adobe Galgo: Photographer of the Year (India).

IPA (International Photography Awards): 9 Honourable Mentions.

FAB (Food & Beverage Awards): 2 nominations.

SPARK (Photography): 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.

The latest is two Merits -- personal and commercial -- at the PIX awards hosted by famous New York magazine, Photo District News.

Haksar's unbelievably successful journey began way back in 1973, at the age of 3, when he was gifted an Agfa Click 3 camera.
