How chief ministers woo NRIs

The interactive session of the states with NRIs at the ongoing Pravasi Bharatiya Divason Sunday was all about wooing Indians overseas to invest. And there were six state chief ministers on hand to help.

The session's common message was spelt out in a presentation by Vilasrao Deshmukh, chief minister of Maharashtra: We are here not to criticise, but to work in tandem.

The session was chaired by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, and there were presentations made by the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Maharashtra, for their respective states.
