Son rises, lotus blooms in Karnataka
Shortly after noon on Friday, a new era in coalition politics commenced in Karnataka. The Bharatiya Janata Party finally had a government in the South, even if it was riding piggyback on the Janata Dal (Secular) rebel H D Kumaraswamy.
While there were cheers for both H D Kumaraswamy, who was sworn in as the chief minister and B S Yediyurappa of the BJP, who took oath as the deputy chief minister, it was the average BJP worker who had more reasons to be happy.
