The Ganeshas of Mumbai

For ten days during the Ganesh festival, Mumbai is transformed. At almost every locality in Mumbai, sarvajanik (community) mandals put up huge decorated pandals in which they install huge idols of Lord Ganesh.

Thousands of people queue up to for a darshan of the deity.

Here is a look at some of Mumbai's biggest Ganpatis.
