After a successful visit to France, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was given a ceremonial farewell in Paris.

He landed in New York on Tuesday to attend the United Nations General Assembly, which will convene on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister had a one-on-one meeting with US President George Bush, ahead of the UNGA summit, on Tuesday evening.

This was his second meeting with the President in less than two months, after they signed a historic deal in Washington during Dr Singh's last visit, after which the US offered to resume nuclear fuel supplies to Indian reactors.
