Almost 20 years after Flight 182 exploded mid-air, killing all 329 people aboard, a Canadian judge is set to pronounce the verdict.

The plane, flying from Canada to India, blew up over the Atlantic Ocean in 1985.

Prosecutors alleged the bombings were an act of vengeance against the Indian government after the 1984 raid on the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the holiest shrine for Sikhs.

India-born Sikhs -- Vancouver businessman Ripudaman Singh Malik, 58, and 55-year-old Ajaib Singh Bagri, a sawmill worker -- face life sentences for their role in the explosion.

Both accused have pleaded not guilty.

Relatives and mediapersons all over the world are tuned in for the climax of what has been one of the most complex and costliest criminal trials in Canadian history.
