The Waltengu village in Jammu and Kashmir was one of the worst affected by the snow 'tsunami' that hit the state, the heaviest in 15 years.
Avalanches destroyed over 110 homes and killed hundreds in the snow-covered village.
With the road leading to the village in the Pir Panjal range snowbound, it became difficult for vehicles to travel on it. Hence, relief to the village was carried on foot.
