Prime Minister Manmohan Singh embarked on a nine-day trip to Britain and the United States last Sunday, his first after taking over as India's leader.

When the prime minister landed in New York, he had a breakfast appointment with US President George W Bush.

The menu was a little out of the ordinary: they did not discuss any Pakistan-related issues. The focus was more on Indo-US relations and the remarkable progress made. Both vowed to continue supporting each other.
