The siege had a bloody end with at least 335 hostages getting killed when Russian commandos stormed the school. Scores of children were among those killed.
The footage shows hundreds of hostages crowded into the gym, children and adults, many with their hands above their heads. The video was probably shot in the first two days of the siege as the hostages look better clothed than they were at the end of the siege.
There was also footage of blood on the floor, and a fire in another building on the school premises.
Bombs fixed on a basket and wire can be seen in the school gymnasium.
