Last year it was the turn of Aamir Khan to visit the mountainous terrain of Dras and Kargil to entertain men who are our first line of defence.

This year it was Rani Mukerji's turn to go to the sandy dunes of Rajasthan to pep up our troops. Bollyood has taken a leaf out its American counterpart, where entertainers and stars visit American troops in far-flung regions to boost their morale.

And both Aamir and Rani were able to contribute their bit in encouraging our soldiers thanks to NDTV's Jai Jawan programme.

You can see the show on NDTV 24X 7 on March 5, 2004 at 2300 hours and repeat telecasts on March 6 at 2130 hours and on March 7 at 1330 hours and 2130 hours.
