This is the couple whose wedding later this month has made news the world over, as they arrive at the very posh Annabel's nightclub in London for their engagement party on Saturday, June 5.

Vanisha, the bride-to-be, is the daughter of the richest Indian on the planet, London-based steel tycoon Laxmi Niwas Mittal.

Amit Bhatia, the bridegroom-to-be, is an investment banker based in the City, as London's business district is called. He is the son of Delhi businessman Arun K Bhatia and his wife Renu and is an alumnus of Delhi’s St Columba’s School and British School, a graduate of Cornell University. He is currently employed at the Credit Suisse First Boston investment bank in London.

Their all-Indian wedding will run for six days and cost millions of pounds.

The venues for the occasion? No less than the awesome Palace of Versailles, where the French 'Sun King' Louis XIV held court in the 17th century, and the 17th-century Vaux le Vicomte, acknowledged as 'the finest chateau and garden' in France.

The ceremonies will reportedly cost billionaire L N Mittal about £30m ($55million).

Gulp, that is over Rs 200 crores/Rs 2 billion!

The guest list of 1,200 will include the pick of Indian and British society. Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Aishwarya Rai will be present (and may perform) at the wedding. Javed Akhtar, it is said, has written a one-hour play to be staged during the run-up to the vivaah.
