Only about 40 odd people turned up at the Sewree cemetry in south-central Mumbai on Thursday to pay homage to one of the finest poets India has known.
Only his closest friends and some of his admirers were present as Dom Moraes was buried.
One of those present was Julio Ribeiro, former director general of police, Punjab.
