Under a hot February sun, these girls came looking for a career in the sky.
Last month, when Air-India announced 400-plus vacancies for its cabin crew, the airline received a staggering 31,000 applications from all over the country.
Candidates were summoned to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta and four other centres, where beginning February 14, the first round of interviews was conducted.
Delhi's Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and Mumbai's Air-India training centre saw a massive turnout.
India's national airline is conducting such large-scale cabin crew recruitments for the first time. There will be three rounds of interviews before the final selection.
