Victims of the tsunami huddle together at a relief camp in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The death toll in Sunday's killer waves across India is expected to cross 7000.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has appealed for contributions to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to help in relief and rehabilitation of the victims, and Reliance Industries Vice Chairman Anil Ambani was among the first to respond, with a personal contribution of Rs 1 crore.
