"Shame, shame, shame on Bush."
"No More Bush."
The uproar of such chants welcomed Republicans and New Yorkers on the eve of the Republican National Convention in New York City.
Tens of thousands of protesters took to the street of Manhattan to speak out against the Bush administration and the war in Iraq.
The protesters carried banners and placards demanding an end to the occupation of Iraq.
Several dozen bicyclists were arrested in the protest, but a heavy police presence helped keep the march largely peaceful.
