The high priest of haute couture in India had to have a show befitting his status.
Not suprisingly, Tarun Tahiliani's show at the Lakme India Fashion Week was the most star-studded. From Gladrags editor Maureen Wadia and designer Bina Ramani, to most of Mumbai's social Who's Who, the show was packed with barely room to stand.
They had come to see Tarun's range of womenswear and menswear.
There were the Chinese cheongsam-inspired jewelled blouses and dresses with side slits, chiffon saris (check out Nina Manuel in the picture) in rich colours like orange, pinks, blacks and reds.
