We can't remember the last time so many high-profile, interesting projects were being helmed by first-timers. Here are a few to watch out for:

Ayaan Mukherjee -- Wake Up Sid

Karan Johar's next production is being directed by Kajol's cousin, the young Ayaan Mukherjee.

Johar has been praising the lad to the skies, and Mukherjee's already got tongues wagging with his atypical casting decision pitting Ranbir Kapoor opposite Konkona Sen Sharma.

The film is rumoured to be a quirky comedy, and lets see how un-Karan the final product turns out.
