With so much focus on Dev Patel and Freida Pinto's work in Slumdog Millionaire, some people might have wondered how the film has affected the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. He is the only actor in the film who is there from the start to the end, and director Danny Boyle has said that having Kapoor in the film was a morale boost to everyone concerned.
The phenomenally successful Oscar-winning film, which has grossed $275 million worldwide, is still going strong at the box office in countries like Greece, Uruguay, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
Now, there are reports that Kapoor will appear in the hit television series 24 along with Kiefer Sutherland.
Kapoor spoke to Arthur J Pais about his home productions, his children and his own film career.
There are reports that you will act in the popular TV series 24, playing an anti-terrorism official. Is that true?
As of now, the talks are continuing. Until everything is confirmed 100 percent, it is not proper for me to speak about this project.
Since you know the script and the role offered to you, what do you think will be your biggest challenge?
I don't think of any challenge till I have signed the agreement. If I think about the challenge, I will be disappointed in case the agreement does not materialise. I get this mental block about a project till I have signed a deal.
