You play a deejay in the film. Did you have to work a lot or research on the subject?
I play a deejay alright, but it's just a back-story. The heroine needed to be given a profession. It's only in one of the songs that I am shown turning discs and mixing music. It doesn't ask for any extensive research.
I play a Bengali girl from Kolkata, Simi Chatterjee, a modern girl with a mind of her own, intelligent and independent. She is an aspiring singer. She comes across Ray [Neil Nitin Mukesh], who gets a camera which can see the future. The film takes a turn from here.
So the film is a science fiction?
No. It is still a romantic thriller. It's only that camera which is an element of sci-fi but even after that the story takes its own course, which is very real.
