The nephew of the producer Ravi Kishore (Sravanthi movies), Ram has always wanted to be an actor. Not one to just sit around, the young man trained towards his goal by learning all there is to know about cinema. He took up dancing, horse-riding, plays and even juggling!

And it looks like his hard work is finally paying off. His movie Maska has just completed 50 days while his earlier film Ready was one of the super hits of 2008.

Radhika Rajamani catches up with the actor for more on Maska, Ready and acting.

What appealed to you about Maska?

The characterisation. I am a fan of Jim Carrey. There is excellent characterisation in his films. In Ready, Brahmanandam garu was there with me in the comedy part. But in Maska, even though it was a comedy film, it still felt new.
