Every couple of Fridays later, we have a Paresh Rawal movie in the theatres. Some of them have been terrific -- the most recent being Mumbai Meri Jaan and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! -- while others missed the mark.
Nithya Ramani spoke to the hugely talented actor, and asked him what we can expect from him next. Paresh Rawal also spoke about his favourite movies in his long career. Over to him:
What is your upcoming film Dhoondte Reh Jaoge about?
It is a comedy about a film producer, how he wants to make a flop film so that he does not have to return the profits to those pooling in the funds, and keep the money for himself. It's a con game.
Apparently, it is a spoof on certain big names in the film industry?
The spoof is only one aspect of it. The first scene shows that I'm hanging myself because of Yash Chopra. My name in the film is Raj Chopra.
