Vaishali was declared the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 at the grand finale organised by Zee TV, held at the Gateway of India, in South Mumbai, on Saturday.

Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone handed over the trophy to Vaishali at the musical tribute saluting the spirit of Mumbai, post the 26/11 attacks. Vaishali, who is also the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi, walked away with a music contract worth Rs 50 lakh and a car.

The second and third place went to Yashita Yashpal Sharma and Somen Nandi respectively.
