'Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost had to be coordinated with a fight choreographer'

How would you describe the choreography of Chandni Chowk to China?

It required loads of planning and lots of hard work. All the songs were well planned. The choreography was done and then shot in rehearsal halls to see how it would look on screen.

Costumes and props were taken care of with minute details. One of the songs Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, required a lot of coordination with the fight choreographer Dee Dee. I had to first shoot my steps and then coordinate with him to change it into the fighting style.

The title track Chandni Chowk to China was planned in three different stages of the Chinese culture -- the ancient look, the 60s look and the hip hop look. So we had to do a lot of research.

Tere Naina, my favourite song, was the first song I shot for the film. It's a very passionate song and hats off to my artists who kept hanging on harnesses for long hours as the song had a lot of special effects. All the songs were shot very differently in the film.
