Akshay said in a recent interview that he could never forget his struggling days, that if he finds a rupee note on the street, he will pick it up and safely keep in his pocket.
I would not be surprised if he does it. His character in Chandni Chowk to China reflects that philosophy, of a person who realises the importance of remembering his hard days. Watch out for the scene in the film in which Sidhu (Akshay's character) remembers an important life lesson his foster father (Mithun Chakraborty) had given him.
Sidhu has been believing that he could go up in life by taking short cuts but he realises half way through the film what his father had said, that short cuts bring with them trouble and obstacles.
Akshay gets to do a lot of action in this film; he also has many funny scenes but he values emotional scenes the most. He sent me a note after seeing the completed film that the emotional scenes in the film gave him the maximum satisfaction.
