January 12 will see three major Kannada releases: Anu, Chickpete Sachagalu and Kempa.
Anu has been produced by Balu and directed by Shiva Ganapathy. It stars Pooja Gandhi and Duniya Rashmi. Balu also puts in a negative act in the film.
Pooja plays a television reporter, and claims that Anu will be a different kind of thriller. "The film revolves around my character," she says. "The screenplay is the strongest factor of the film."
Anu is the remake of Ravi Babu's Telugu hit Anasuya, starring Bhumika.
