When asked how he felt about being nominated for the Globes, Rahman answered, "The nomination was completely unexpected. It was a great surprise. In fact, I thought that I underworked for the film.
"I want to win this award for India and for Indians," he added.
Rahman shied away when mediapersons compared him to the great Mozart, calling him the Asian Mozart. "I am no Mozart," he said. "Mozart was a genius at the age of 20 and I am 42."
