Ramya had a good start in 2008 with Mussanje Maathu. The film saw her teaming up with Sudeep after many years. But she also saw some flops like Bombaat and Anthoo Inthoo Preethi Banthu.

Ramya had also guest starred in Meravanige, which had a decent run. Her Tamil film Varanam Aayiram won her many accolades.
